These developments are supported by the collaboration with Autostrade per l&#8217;Italia, which has made it possible to start the first open traffic road tests on the A26 in July 2023, with 20 km driven by autonomous driving vehicles.<br><strong>The testing activities also involve tests on the precision positioning of vehicles,<\/strong> even in areas with poor GPS signal, such as tunnels. Through the use of vehicle-to-infrastructure communication systems, the vehicle will be able to maintain the same level of driving autonomy, even in the absence of satellite coverage. These tests, together with the development of available technologies, are the foundation to enable a reliable and safe development of autonomous
