This integration extends the perception of the surrounding environment, improving the decision-making capabilities of autonomous vehicles and increasing overall safety levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activities, developed in collaboration with Autostrade per l\u2019Italia, led to the first <strong>on-road trials in open traffic along the A26 motorway<\/strong>, where in July 2023 autonomous vehicles travelled approximately <strong>20 km<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A further area of testing concerns <strong>precision positioning<\/strong>, including in complex environments such as tunnels, where the GPS signal is absent or degraded.
