OBU GO Sat is an On Board Unit for toll payment using both satellite technology – by sending geolocation data to the central platform via 4G LTE Cellular Network – and DSRC technology. Through a sophisticated Map Matching algorithm, the system processes the data and reconstructs the vehicle’s route, allowing it to be verified and the toll to be defined.
Vehicle localization and route monitoring also allow it to be used for emergency fleet management and for heavy vehicle and urban public transportation tracking. OBU GO Sat supports Bluetooth and NFC/RFID technologies.The device can be used in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and in any other context that complies with the CEN standard (thanks to DSRC technology on board) or when travelling in countries that use GNSS toll collection systems. The On Board Unit automatically recognizes the correct toll context of the country crossed and selects the right tolling standard protocol. This greatly simplifies the use of OBU GO Sat.
The OBU GO Sat is equipped with a color touch display, a buzzer and LEDs that help the driver, providing him important data such as the OBU status or messages from the Service provider.
