TUTOR® portals
There are two speed detection points installed on existing infrastructures, the portals, positioned at a variable distance. Each portal has evolved video cameras and a radar system. Depending on the time the motorist takes to travel along the section marked by the two portals, the average speed of transit is calculated and detected. The system also operates in instant mode.
Central system
This cross-matches the data recorded by the video cameras of the two portals, calculating the travel time of each vehicle. For vehicles whose times exceed those permitted, it queries the archives of the motoring authorities and car rental companies to trace the owner and driver. For all other vehicles, data is eliminated immediately. Violations are then ascertained by the traffic police. The system supplies the data for filling in and producing the report, which is then sent to the offender.
