ARGO for the Province of Arezzo

The Province of Arezzo has launched infrastructure monitoring using cutting-edge technologies to optimise inspection processes and investment planning.

Movyon supported the Province of Arezzo in an infrastructure digitalisation and monitoring project, introducing an innovative approach to asset management through the use of the ARGO platform.

The initiative involved the inventory and inspection of 44 bridges across the provincial area, with the aim of assessing their condition and assigning an attention class. The activities were carried out in collaboration with Proger, which managed infrastructure surveillance operations, combining engineering expertise with advanced digital tools.

At the heart of the project is ARGO, the platform developed by Movyon in collaboration with IBM for managing the lifecycle of infrastructure assets. The solution enables asset digitalisation, the collection and organisation of data in a centralised environment, and access to advanced tools for process control and governance.

Through the use of a dedicated mobile app, inspection activities can be carried out in a structured way both on site and remotely, ensuring greater efficiency and traceability. The platform is also integrated with the main national systems, including the National Digital Archive of Public Works (AINOP), and is available in cloud mode, making it easily accessible to local authorities.

The project represents one of the first cases in Italy of advanced monitoring technologies being applied outside the motorway context, demonstrating how advanced tools can also be adopted for local infrastructure.

Thanks to the data collected and analysed through ARGO, the Province of Arezzo can now plan maintenance work more effectively, define priorities and optimise resource allocation, moving from reactive management to a decision-making model based on objective and up-to-date information.
