Free to travel nonstop
Movyon’s Multi Lane Free Flow solution allows vehicles to pass through tolling points without stopping, slowing down or entering dedicated toll lanes.
Intelligent gantries equipped with advanced detection, vehicle classification, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and On-Board Unit communication technologies capture all the information required to identify each vehicle in transit.
The software correlates data from the different subsystems, associates every event with the correct vehicle and sends the resulting transaction to the central platform, where the applicable toll is calculated automatically.
The result is a fully digital toll collection process that improves traffic flow while ensuring high levels of accuracy and operational control.
Traditional toll plazas require vehicles to slow down, stop or merge into dedicated lanes to complete payment. Multi-Lane Free Flow fundamentally changes this model by enabling toll collection while vehicles continue travelling at normal speed.
By eliminating stops, acceleration, braking and lane changes around tolling points, the system improves traffic flow, enhances road safety and helps reduce fuel consumption and vehicle emissions.
Each gantry integrates multiple roadside technologies, coordinated by Movyon’s software platform:
Combining multiple data sources allows the system to manage even complex traffic scenarios while maintaining high levels of identification and classification accuracy.
Designed for continuous operation
Movyon’s Multi Lane Free Flow gantries feature a compact, modular and robust design that simplifies installation, maintenance and future upgrades.
The architecture minimizes the number of roadside devices while allowing individual components to be serviced or replaced without affecting the availability of the entire system. Power distribution can be managed through dedicated protected cabinets, while the overall structure is engineered for long-term durability and reliable protection of installed equipment. These features simplify maintenance activities and help operators reduce lifecycle costs.
The platform as the control centre
The central platform provides operators with complete visibility over gantry performance, system status and toll transactions. Built-in monitoring, diagnostics and reporting tools enable rapid identification of anomalies and support proactive maintenance activities. Open interfaces also allow seamless integration with existing back-office applications and third-party platforms.
As a result, operators can monitor not only individual toll transactions but also overall system performance, including data quality, equipment availability, service continuity and post-processing activities.
